Email is a great and easy way to communicate. I check my email every morning, at lunch, and during my prep periods. I often check my email in the evening, too. I just love to email photos of our hard work to Moms and Dads!

Hello! My name is Lisa Ferguson. I have had the pleasure of teaching first grade at Flint Lake Elementary for seven years now. I am also a Science Bowl coach and coordinator for Team LEAD. I graduated from Valparaiso High School, received my bachelor's degree from Purdue Calumet, as well as a Master's in administration. My husband and I live in Valpo where our three children attend VHS and Thomas Jefferson Middle School.
When I am not at school, I am with my family. We are avid readers and love to spend time at the library. We love the beach and playing outdoors. We are a soccer, orchestra, and band family so our activities are plentiful.
I am enthusiastic about learning and love to share that with first graders. We work hard to create a nurturing environment in which everyone can excel. Our classroom family is committed to allowing each member the opportunity to learn knowing we all learn differently.
As a parent, you know your child best. I count on working together with you to help your child reach his or her fullest potential academically as well as socially. We are partners in education.
